About Us

Locally Owned, Locally Accountable

Seawick Towing has been answering breakdown calls in Virginia Beach since 2014. Every truck is ours, every driver is trained here, and every quote comes from the same rate sheet.

Our Story

One Truck, One Pager, One Promise

Seawick Towing started in 2014 with one wheel-lift truck and a pager. The plan was not complicated: answer the phone, quote an honest price, and show up when you said you would. That turned out to be rarer than it should be.

Twelve years later the fleet has grown and the dispatch board runs around the clock, but the operation still turns on the same three things. We are locally owned, so the person quoting your job works for the same company as the driver who arrives. Nothing is brokered out to whoever happens to be nearest.

Why Seawick Towing

Not Your Average Crew

Hired For Judgement

Anyone can be taught to run a winch. We hire for the decisions made in the ten seconds before it gets used.

Straight Answers, Every Call

You hear what we actually think, including the times a tow is not what you need. It costs us the job and keeps the customer.

Trained Before They’re Alone

Every driver runs supervised shifts across each vehicle class before taking a truck out on their own. No exceptions for busy weeks.

This Is Home

Our drivers live here. The people they find on the shoulder of the road are neighbours, and the work reflects that.

Your vehicle deserves our full attention.

A good outcome starts with a real conversation. We take the time to understand what happened, explain the options honestly, and get you moving with the least disruption we can manage. From the first call through to the drop-off, the details are handled.

— The Seawick Towing Approach

Our Advantage

What You Get Working With Us

The practical differences you notice for yourself, from the first call through to the drop-off.

01

One Company, Start To Finish

National call centers sell your job to whichever subcontractor bids lowest. Every truck we send is ours, driven by someone we trained.

02

The Quote Is The Price

Dispatchers quote from a fixed rate sheet, not a guess. If conditions on scene genuinely differ, we tell you before work starts, never after.

03

Trained On Your Vehicle Type

Loading an all-wheel-drive crossover is not the same as loading a motorcycle or an EV. Drivers are signed off on each class before working alone.

04

A Person Answers, Always

No phone tree, no overnight answering service reading from a script. A dispatcher who knows the local roads picks up, holidays included.

05

A Wait Time You Can Plan Around

You get a realistic arrival window for your actual location, then updates if it moves. We would rather tell you forty minutes than promise twenty.

06

Your Vehicle, Documented

Condition is recorded at pickup and again at drop-off. If anything is ever disputed, there is a record rather than two conflicting memories.

Common Questions

Questions About The Company

How we are set up, who works here, and what happens when something goes wrong. For questions about the services themselves, see our services page.

How long have you been in business?

Since 2014. The company started with a single wheel-lift truck and has grown steadily across Virginia Beach and the wider Hampton Roads region since then, under the same ownership the entire time.

Are you locally owned or part of a national chain?

Locally owned and operated. We are not a franchise and not a call center. The person who quotes your job works for the same company as the driver who turns up, which is why we can stand behind both.

Are your drivers employees or subcontractors?

Employees. Every driver is hired, trained, and signed off by us before working a shift alone. We do not sell jobs on to whichever independent operator happens to be closest.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We carry the coverage appropriate to light-duty towing and recovery operations, and every job we take is covered. Documentation is available on request before work begins.

What happens if my vehicle is damaged during a tow?

Tell us immediately, ideally before the driver leaves. We document vehicle condition at pickup, so a genuine issue is straightforward to resolve. Damage-free handling is the standard every driver is trained to.

Do you work with insurers and motor clubs?

We can deliver to a body shop or facility your insurer names, and we are happy to provide the paperwork a claim needs. We are not contracted to any particular motor club, so you are always dealing with us directly.
