Ceiling rewire & lighting
Flickering lights and a warm switch plate led us to brittle cloth wiring in the living-room ceiling. We rewired the room, added recessed lighting on a dimmer, and patched the ceiling in a day.

The problem
The living-room lights flickered, and one switch plate was warm to the touch. The homeowner was worried, rightly.
What we found
The ceiling was still on original cloth-insulated wiring that had gone brittle and cracked near the fixture box. One splice had been taped instead of properly joined.
What we did
- Replaced the ceiling run with new copper wiring and proper junction boxes
- Installed six recessed LED lights on a single dimmer
- Swapped the warm switch for a new rated dimmer
- Patched and painted the access holes so the ceiling looked untouched
The result
No more flicker, no warm switches, and a brighter room with light that can be dimmed for evenings. Done in one day with no surprises on the bill.
From the homeowner
Clear quote, tidy work, and the whole thing explained in plain English. You can't tell they were ever in the ceiling.
