Overview

What Commercial restoration work involves.

Commercial restoration is a scheduling problem as much as a restoration one. The building matters, but so does keeping the business trading, protecting stock and equipment, and meeting the obligations you have to tenants, staff and inspectors.

We assess, triage what has to happen immediately, protect assets, and phase mitigation zone by zone so as much of the site stays usable as the damage allows. Night and weekend working is normal on these jobs, because it is usually cheaper than closing.

Pro tip

Note the time you discovered the damage and photograph stock and equipment before anything is moved. Business interruption claims usually turn on the timeline more than on the damage itself.

Our process

How the work runs.

Assess and triage

What is damaged, what is at risk, and what has to happen tonight versus what can wait until the plan is agreed.

Protect the assets

Stock, equipment, records and finishes moved or shielded before mitigation work begins.

Phase the mitigation

Cleanup and drying sequenced zone by zone so as much of the site as possible stays usable.

Build back

Reinstatement scheduled around your trading hours, with one point of contact throughout.

Insurance

Working with your insurer.

Commercial policies bring business interruption into play — lost income while you cannot trade, and the extra expense of working around the damage. It is frequently the largest part of a commercial claim and the part most often underdocumented.

That makes record-keeping central. We document the loss, the mitigation timeline and the phasing decisions, so your broker can evidence not just the physical damage but why the recovery was sequenced the way it was.

Questions, answered

Before you call.

The things people ask us most about this service.

Can we stay open during the work?

Often, partly. It depends on the damage, the layout and what your local authority will allow. We will tell you at assessment which areas can stay in use and which genuinely cannot.

Do you work outside business hours?

Yes. For commercial jobs that is frequently the whole point. Night and weekend working costs more in labour and usually saves far more in lost trade.

What about documents and equipment?

Both can often be recovered if we reach them early. Paper records, servers and specialist equipment are handled first, because they are the things that cannot simply be reordered.

Who will we be dealing with day to day?

One named contact on our side and one on yours, agreed at the start. In multi-tenant buildings we will deal directly with your property manager or landlord as well, if that is simpler for you.

Can you work around our compliance requirements?

Yes. Food service, healthcare and childcare settings all carry inspection standards that shape how and when restoration can happen. Tell us what governs you at assessment and we build it into the plan rather than discovering it later.

Keep trading while we work.

We phase the work around your operation wherever the building allows it, and we work nights and weekends when that is what keeps the doors open.
