Storm damage

When the weather changes everything, we help you take the next step toward home.

Overview

What Storm damage work involves.

Storm restoration has two distinct phases and they run on different clocks. First, making the building safe and closed — board-up, tarping, clearing what is dangerous — because every further rainfall adds damage that is harder to attribute to the original event. Then the repair and rebuild work.

We cover roof and exterior repairs, water intrusion extraction and drying, debris removal, and the interior reconstruction the intrusion made necessary. The emergency phase generally happens within hours; the rebuild follows a proper scope and schedule.

Pro tip

Keep every receipt: tarps, plywood, a hotel room. Insurers generally reimburse what you spend preventing further damage, but only if you can produce the paperwork.

  • Emergency board-up
  • Temporary roof protection and tarping
  • Water intrusion extraction
  • Debris and fallen tree removal
  • Storm damage assessment and documentation
  • Roof and siding repairs
  • Reconstruction planning

Our process

How the work runs.

Make safe

Emergency board-up, clearing what is unsafe, and getting the property secure before assessment begins.

Protect the roof

Tarping and temporary covering so the next weather front does not add to the loss.

Assess and document

A full record of what the storm did — photographs, measurements and scope — for you and for your carrier.

Repair and rebuild

Roof, siding and exterior repairs, then the interior work the water intrusion made necessary.

Insurance

Working with your insurer.

Wind and hail damage are usually covered perils. Flooding — rising water from outside the structure — is almost never covered by a standard policy and requires separate flood insurance, a distinction that surprises people every season.

Carriers expect you to prevent further damage after a storm, and emergency tarping is normally reimbursable. Keep receipts. We document the storm’s damage separately from anything that happened afterwards, which protects the claim if the weather returns before repairs start.

Questions, answered

Before you call.

The things people ask us most about this service.

How quickly can you tarp my roof?

Emergency protection is what we prioritize after a storm. Be aware that after a regional weather event every restoration company in the area is working through a queue — we will tell you a real time rather than a comfortable one.

What should I do before you arrive?

Photograph everything from a safe position, move what you can out of the way of active leaks, and do not climb onto a damaged roof. Keep receipts for anything you buy to limit the damage; those are usually claimable.

Do you handle the insurance side?

We document the loss thoroughly and work alongside your adjuster, and we will meet them on site. We do not adjust the claim or decide coverage — that stays between you and your carrier.

Will you work with my own roofer?

Yes. If you already have a roofer you trust, we will coordinate with them and handle the water intrusion, drying and interior work. If you would rather one company did all of it, we can do that instead.

What if more damage shows up later?

Storm damage often reveals itself over the following weeks as water finds a path. Tell us and we will reassess. This is exactly why documenting the original event thoroughly matters — it keeps later discoveries attached to the same claim.

Cover it before the next rain.

Temporary protection first, permanent repairs after. Getting the building closed is what stops a bad week turning into a bad month.

Tell us what happened.

Describe the property and the damage and we will come back to you with the next step. If it is urgent, call (828) 555-0142 — someone answers day or night.
